Strict vegetarians or vegans who avoid all animal products to need to rely on foods fortified with B-12, and in many cases Vitamin B-12 supplements. Having an optimal Vitamin B-12 level can help you regain your energy, increase your metabolism, regulate your immune system and support your nervous system. It is not just Vegans who may have issues with Vitamin B-12. With age, it can become harder to absorb this vitamin. It can also happen if you have had weight loss surgery or another operation that removed part of your stomach, if you drink heavily, or if you’ve taken acid-reducing medications for a long time. You may also be more likely to develop vitamin B12 deficiency if you have Atrophic gastritis, in which your stomach lining has thinned, Pernicious anemia, which makes it hard for your body to absorb vitamin B12, Conditions that affect your small intestines, such as Crohn's disease, celiac disease, bacterial growth, or a parasite, Immune system disorders, such as Graves' disease or lupus.
Symptoms of Vitamin B-12 Deficiency
If you have vitamin B12 deficiency, you could become anemic. A mild deficiency may cause no symptoms. But if untreated, it may lead to some of the following symptoms: Weakness, tiredness, or lightheadedness. Heart palpitations and shortness of breath, pale skin, A smooth tongue, Constipation, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or gas, Nerve problems like numbness or tingling, muscle weakness, and problems walking, Vision loss, Mental problems like depression, memory loss, or behavioral changes.
If you are concerned about your B-12 levels or are unsure it is recommended to speak with your Doctor or have your levels tested.
Taking sublingual ( under the tongue) vitamin B-12 allows the body to bypass the digestive system where there can be issues for many in properly absorbing the B-12. As we age, it becomes harder and harder for our digestive system to absorb B-12.
The Methylcobalamin & Cyanocobalamin Difference
It comes down to one molecule. The methylcobalamin has a methyl group (carbon and hydrogen), while
the cyanocobalamin has a cyanide group. What? Cyanide? In my Vitamin B-12, you might ask?? Well, rest assured, there’s no cyanide in our Vitamin B12, made with methylcobalamin versus cyanocobalamin. Why? Well, because our bodies have no use for the cyano-compound. Once in our bodies, we will begin trying to remove it. Interestingly, this compound does not occur naturally in any living organism. Although the amount of cyanide released in the conversion process is not thought, at this time, to cause any damage. We ask though, why put a known poison in your body when you don’t have to? As well, we ask, why take the inactive form (cyano-), which requires the body to break it down into the active form (methyl), when you can start with the active form right from the moment it enters our body? Well, you don’t have to with Live Wise Naturals Vitamin B-12. It’s made with NON-GMO methylcobalamin, and your body will absorb it, use it, and love it!
Don't Take Our Word For it! Here's What Our Customers Think:
The best b12 vitamins I've tried so far! I've tried some other brands before which included some synthetic ingredients and the smell and taste were overwhelming and unnatural! These taste and smell very mild, and you can hardly feel any alcohol in it, so it's a great plus when you take them every day.

liquid vitamin D this product is so easy to use, especially if you can't or don't like taking pills. Plus you get only vitamins, no fillers, etc. I will be ordering the B liquid for the same reason. great product!

Better sleep I have used other melatonin products before with okay results. This one is a more consistent result, better and longer sleep. I don't have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep is my challenge - or was :-) The process of takin it is calming too, I focus on relaxing while the product is under my tongue and swish gently.
